Hello to the wonderful Journey to Kampala community,
What a blessing it is to have your support. I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am for all you have blessed me with even in the circumstances we are currently in. God has been moving through you in tremendous ways. Because of your commitment to honoring God in all He has called you to do I am able to follow my calling by serving in this beautiful place.

When I first started fundraising people would ask me, when are you planning to leave, expecting the answer to be next year but God told me three months. I had many people tell me three months isn’t enough time to fundraise a years worth of living expenses or don’t be disappointed if you have to wait longer. I heard them and I understood the concern because this plan sounded just as crazy to me but it wasn’t my plan to begin with, it was Gods plan. Every time someone would ask me how I was going to make it happen I didn’t have answers other than its in Gods hands. Putting full trust in God for providing more than I thought possible was scary and very difficult at times. However, seeing the fruit of that trust and obedience made every second of those scary times worth it. I hope you each know how significant of a role you are playing in Gods big plans for me.
As you know we serve a God who never stops moving, a God who is continually providing for more than we humanly can. When I felt beyond blessed for what He provided for me to get here He said there is still more to come. Because of your generosity I have been able to finically support the Leadership Academy for this entire year. This gives me the opportunity to take our leaders to use the skills they are learning in class and apply them in real life activities. We are able to go and serve alumni that are serving in villages all around, helping them fulfill the calling God has given to them. Because of you we have the opportunity to go the extra mile with our leaders, pour into them and equip them to go out and lead this nation of Uganda.
During this time many of our leaders went back to their home villages, which can range from 4-8 hours away from the city we live and serve in. Since this pandemic closed down all sources of work and school, it made it very difficult to remain where they were. The villages gave them the opportunity to live off the land and crops they grow. Our restrictions are slowly opening up in some areas of the country and as a ministry we felt God was calling us to bless these leaders as they begin to plan how to come back to the city. Once again because of you allowing God to work through you, our leaders were able to pay off their rent, provide food for their family, buy medication that has been needed, and many other things. Many have been living on the bare minimal to get by. You helped to bless them with the opportunity to get closer to the way things were before. Thank you for abiding to Gods plans, you are making a huge impact on the lives of so many people. I am so grateful to have the best, most generous community of people to walk alongside me on this journey.
As things begin to open up please continue to pray for safety for those traveling back to the city. Please pray for the ministry leadership as we plan and prepare for programs to operate again. Pray for unity around the world, that we do not fight battles God has already won. Pray for comfort and community that I can find people and like-minded friends here in Uganda. Pray for my friends and family back home. Pray for each other, that God continues to use you, guide you and encourage you. Pray for the Churches that are starting to gather again. Pray for the devil to stay far from the work God is calling us to. Pray for those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and addiction. Pray for our world to come together and worship our Father in heaven together.
With much love and many blessings,
Lexi Dingman
